If you are allergic to dogs but really want to get a dog anyway, I have some tips for choosing the right breed!
What kind of breeds people react to and don’t react to is individual, but there are some traits most of these dogs have in common!
There’s no way I can write about every single dog breed that may is hypoallergenic, but I’m going to write about as many breeds as possible. But now I’m going to tell you some coat-types that are generally good for allergy sufferers.
– Wire haired dogs. Wire haired dogs as different terriers (For instance the irish softcoated wheaten terrier, westies, etc.)and other wire haired breeds are usually good with allergy sufferers. Some of them shed, and some of them don’t. The terriers are often good dogs for families.- Curly coated dogs. Dogs such as the poodle, the bichon breeds and lots of other curly coated breeds are some of the most well known hypoallergenic breeds. There are curly coated dogs in most sizes and with most exercise levels, and you should be able to find a curly coated breed that fits you! They usually need lots of brushing and cutting.
- Naked dogs. Dogs such as the xoloitzcuintle, peruvian inca orchid and the chinese crested are often  hypoallergenic. You find them in most sizes. They require some skin care, but most of them don’t need brushing!
- Long coated dogs. There’s a couple of long coated dogs such as the yorkie and the papillon that are hypoallergenic. Some people are even okay with shelties!
- Polar breeds. Lots of allergy sufferers do just fine with breeds as the alaskan malamute, siberian husky and alaskan husky! These breeds needs lots of exercise, but there is also a minature breed with a similar coat type called the alaskan klee kai. Polar breeds shed heavily twice a year.
I hope this was helpfull! Good luck with finding a newe companion for you and your family!
